Those are the words on every Acc fan’s tongues last night as the ball dropped. LAst night in The Chic-fil-a Bowl The Clemson Tigers redeemed the lowly ACC and turned the perception that the might SEC was unbeatable at the hands of their nighbors to the East. Coming in the game was dubbed as a battle between The Tigers who both reside in Deathvalley. The game turned out to be maybe the most exciting bowl game of the season so far.

The game could not have started out worse for Clemson. On the second play from scrimmage it was an inside handoff to Sammy Watkins[who OC Chad Morris had vowed to get involved early and often]6-foot-5, 240-pound LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo came thru untouched and nearly ripped Watkins right leg off. FUMBLE …2 plays later TD LSU.
Clemson fans everywhere thought OH NO not again. HArking back to last years Orange Bowl disaster. But thankfully it was not the case. Instead Tahj took the burden on his shoulders and–along with Nuuk Hopkins–carried the offense down the field and answered with a Clemsmon score. The most surprising thin about the game was the play of Clemson’s much-maligned defense. They stymied LSU at every turn and kept the game within reach until the final minute, giving Chandler Cantanzaro a change at the end.

After the game Dabo Swinney was talking 11 and 12 wins, he was talking National Championship, he was hugging sideline reporters, he was screaming, and crying. He has his head in the right direction. But he needs to overcome FSU and instate rival USC first.

Final Score Clemson 25  LSU 24
